Arrival and access
Your confirmed reservation and pre-arrival messages contain the current door-access and parking instructions. For security, entry codes and Wi-Fi credentials are intentionally not posted on this public page.
Please park only in the designated areas for the property and never along the roadway. If you need help during your stay, reply to your reservation message so we can quickly match your note to the correct booking.
Using the condo
Thermostat
- Tap the thermostat screen to wake it.
- Use the plus and minus controls, or drag up or down, to choose a temperature.
- Tap the temperature and choose a hold time. A 2-hour or 4-hour hold returns to the normal setting automatically; “Until I change it” keeps your selection in place.
- To change modes, tap the current Heat or Cool icon. Heat/Cool mode can maintain a comfortable temperature range.
Jetted tub
Always fill the tub until the water is above every jet before turning the jets on. Running the jets with a low water level can spray water outside the tub. The tub uses a large amount of hot water, so keep an eye on the fill level and temperature.
Kitchen, lights, and supplies
- Dishwasher tabs are stored under the kitchen sink.
- The bathroom exhaust-light switch has a night-light mode: turn the light off, wait about one second, and turn it back on.
- Extra batteries, a first-aid kit, and a fire extinguisher are under the kitchen sink.
- The balcony light switch is near the balcony door, usually behind the drapes by the table.
- A vacuum, broom, and mop are in the mechanical closet across from the bathroom.
- The iron and ironing board are in the bedroom closet.
Linens and towels
- White towels are for bathing and showering.
- Striped towels are for the pool.
- Dark or colored towels are for the beach.
- Small black towels are for makeup removal.
- An extra blanket is in the top dresser drawer, pull-out sofa linens are in the bedroom closet, and another couch blanket is in the blue ottoman.
There is no daily housekeeping service. If you need replacement linens or towels, contact us through your reservation message.
Trash and checkout
The dumpster is at the west end of the parking lot. Place full, tied trash bags inside the dumpster and do not leave trash in public view.
Before the 11:00 AM checkout, gather used towels, dispose of trash, turn off lights and other items you used, collect your belongings, and follow the current checkout instructions in your departure message.
Being a good neighbor
Hemingway East is part of a residential condo community. Please protect the quiet enjoyment of neighbors and other guests: keep music and voices at a considerate level, use only designated parking, secure trash, and follow posted rules for shared amenities. Fireworks and excessive noise are regulated by East Bay Charter Township; current township ordinances always control.

Simple itinerary ideas
Easy Traverse City day
Start downtown, choose a lunch or dinner stop from the food list, visit the Dennos Museum Center or browse downtown shops, and finish with Moomers.
Old Mission afternoon
Choose two or three wineries rather than trying to rush the entire peninsula, include Mission Point Lighthouse, and designate a driver or arrange transportation.
Leelanau day trip
Pair a small number of winery stops with Historic Fishtown or Sleeping Bear Dunes. Drive times can be longer than they look on the map, especially in peak summer.
Family day
Combine Pirate’s Cove or Mt. Holiday with an easy meal and ice cream. For Sleeping Bear Dunes, bring water, sunscreen, and footwear suited to sand.
